Priests sustain us with the sacraments. Religious strengthen the Church with their prayers and their ministries. We need holy families to encourage openness to all vocations. What we need is a Culture of Vocations.
Building a culture of vocations depends on all baptized Catholics. It depends on you.
The Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana has been blessed in recent years with many vocations. The number of diocesan seminarians is at its highest in decades, and dozens more women and men are in formation for the consecrated life. However, in order to serve the needs of the faithful, we still need more people to hear and respond to God’s call.
Imagine the workload on each priest between Masses, confessions, hospital calls, school ministry, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and so many other pastoral duties...Not to mention those who aren’t registered in the parish and might be in need of some catechizing and evangelizing!
Our office provides resources for educators, parents and parishes to help you help us (and ultimately help God) get young people asking the right questions and on the path of exploring God’s plans for them.
