The Lafayette, Indiana Roman Catholic School System Board of Directors is seeking a highly skilled, visionary leader to serve as Executive Director for this K – 12, four campus system which provides a Christ-centered education to more than 800 students in the Tippecanoe County area. Due to a recent school system restructuring, the Board of Directors has established this new Executive Director position to inspire and energize the system. The ideal candidate will maintain a close and cooperative working relationship with the Trustees, the Board of Directors, the Principals and the local Catholic Parish Pastors. S/he will also be an informed, practicing Roman Catholic with a commitment to Catholic Education, actively pursuing his/her own formation, and have a deep understanding of Church issues. Understanding of a diverse, multi-cultural community or a multi-lingual candidate is a plus.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be:

*A demonstrated leader, preferably with a master’s degree and experience as a Catholic school administrator, who seeks and values the input of all constituencies in building a shared vision for an academically excellent, financially sound, Christ-centered education.

*A broad, creative thinker with demonstrated success in financial management, personnel issues and strategic planning, building consensus around innovative solutions that have maintained or increased program quality while still maintaining affordable costs.

*A respected Catholic business administrator or educator who has been able to build trust among multiple stakeholders of a demanding organization by focusing the stakeholders on improvement of student learning and innovative, progressive educational opportunities. 

*A forthright, transparent, visionary leader who is informed about student learning and development, has superior communication skills (listening, speaking, writing), and a demonstrated track record of successful change management supported by good humor and open-mindedness.

*An energetic, self-motivated leader who is visible, accessible and approachable in the schools and classrooms, and can speak confidently about Catholic Education, Development and Institutional Advancement in community forums (Chamber of Commerce, Community Council, Greater Lafayette Commerce, etc.).

*A problem solver, who anticipates, understands and approaches issues such as new state and Federal mandates and standards by engaging the staff and stakeholders in planning.
